CJ Productions, LLC is a faith-based production company committed to creating inspiring stage plays, screenplays, and sitcoms that uplift and empower audiences, especially youth and women. Ceola J. founded CJ Productions, LLC, as a result of the peace she found in writing while facing a tumultuous childhood of homelessness, sexual assault, and domestic violence.
Ceola's passion for encouraging, educating, and empowering women and children inspires her to write, produce, and direct projects that are not just stories, but real-life experiences. In each project, Ceola weaves parts of her experiences to let others know they're not alone, that they, too, can overcome, and that their past does not destroy their destiny. Her debut stage play, "From Female to Woman to Lady," premiered in 2017, telling a story of three generations of daughters based on her, her mother, and her grandmother. The production, a mirror of many women's lives, paved the way for Ceola to continue the path of storytelling.
Through her production company CJ Productions, Ceola has expanded her repertoire to include sitcoms like "212 Vernon Place" and stage productions such as "Finding Her Voice," which streamed on Broadway on Demand. Ceola J.' is venturing into new territory with her new Christmas film, Finding Her Voice for Christmas, where she introduces 15-year-old Joy Jones and her family. With a diverse array of projects spanning feature films, shorts, sitcoms, and cooking shows, CJ Productions is a testament to its commitment to encouraging, educating, and empowering women and youth and strengthening the family dynamic.
The year 2024 came with some amazing surprises and one was news that Ceola had been nominated for the 2024 30th Annual Gospel Music Choice Awards. Ceola says, "What an honor the nomination was. I am humbled and honored to have the nomnation of my peers!"

"I wrote Finding Her Voice in three days," says Ceola. It was during COVID-19 when we were not allowed to play in theaters due to COVID. My co-director, Dusty, and I had been trying to figure out ways to still showcase the production we were working on at that time, Happy Walls: A Family Affair, part three of our Walls trilogy. We had a large cast, and I decided to put that production on pause.
Then, in the latter part of 2020. I decided to turn that entire trilogy into a sitcom. I took the scripts from all three plays, created episodes, and called it 212 Vernon Place. We filmed three episodes and placed our work on YouTube. In a very short time, we had over 2k views with nothing but positive comments from people saying they related to the show, found it funny, and wanted to know when the next episode was coming; we were shocked and happy by the response! It was our first time filming anything, although amateurs, we were proud of our work and the team effort that went into making that episode happen.
In the summer of 2021, I wrote Finding Her Voice in three days. By August of that same year, we cast, rehearsed, filmed, and were able to stream It on Broadway on Demand. Broadway World called It a "Hot Pick" for plays to watch!
